Tullahoma 13's Earn State Bid - Defeat Giles County 11-3 in Area Winner's Bracket Final

July 15--The Tullahoma 13-year-old all stars defeated Giles County 11-3 in the Cookeville area tourney winner's bracket final on Sunday to earn a trip to the State tourney and will play for the area championship at 6pm Monday in Cookeville. Winning pitcher James Plaisted and David Hess combined for 7 innings of 5 hit ball, striking out 10 with no walks while allowing 2 earned runs. Another great team hitting effort (10 hits) was led by Justin Crago's double, single, 4 RBIs and a run, Ryan Rippy's double, 2 RBIs and 2 runs, and Plaisted's 2 singles, 2 RBIs and 3 runs. Jesse Haywood added 2 singles and 2 runs, Cody Farr a double and a run, Gaven Elmore a single and RBI, Cale Greenway a single, 1 RBI and a run, Garrett Caldwell 1 run, and Austin Creasman's sacrifice RBI.
