COOKEVILLE--Tullahoma's 13-year-old all stars opened area tournament play in Cookeville Saturday with a 13-3 win over Lebanon. Justin Crago pitched 4 innings and David Hess pitched the final inning as Tullahoma scored 13 runs on 13 hits over 5 innings. Justin Crago's 2 run homer in the 1 st inning started the Tullahoma scoring as almost every Tullahoma player either scored a run or an RBI. James Plaisted led hitters with a single, double, and a triple, and Crago and Ryan Rippy each had 3 RBIs. Jesse Haywood and Sebastian Charboneau added 2 RBIs each and AJ Sharp, Austin Creasman, and Garrett Caldwell also added an RBI each. Tullahoma hitting also included a triple and single by Ryan Rippy, doubles by Creasman and Crago, and singles by Heywood, Sharp, David Hess, Cale Greenway, and Gavin Elmore. They play again Sunday at 1 pm in Cookeville in the winner's bracket final against Giles County.
