After a couple of false starts due to inclement weather, the Motlow Lady Bucks finally got their season under way with a pair of double headers against Joliette, Ill. Sunday and Monday, and they came away with a 3-1 record.

This edition of the Lady Bucks is coach Gary Barfield's youngest squad ever with only two sophomores on board--shortstop Megan Hemmingsen and former Tullahoma Lady Wildcat Amanda Duke who transferred to Motlow this season from Volunteer State. The rest of the squad is made up of freshmen who played their first college games this week.

Motlow welcomes Kaskaskia, Ill. Wednesday and Thursday for double-headers starting at 1 p.m. each day. Admission is free.

Joliette got into the win column by holding off a Lady Buck rally in the bottom of the eighth inning.
