The Motlow Lady Bucks (28-9, 6-2) broke out of a four-game slide in impressive fashion Tuesday afternoon with a 10-1, 10-0 double-header sweep at Cleveland State.

The sweep came on the heels of double-header losses to Columbia State and Chattanooga State and came against a Cleveland State team that had given the Lady Bucks all they wanted earlier in the season before Motlow managed to pull out two wins. Cleveland also owns a win against league-leading Chattanooga State.

The Lady Bucks banged out 33 hits in the two games Tuesday while sophomore Sally Gale allowed just two hits in game one, and Chelsea Owens gave up only four hits in the second contest.

There were hot bats up and down the lineup, but none were hotter than Tullahoma sophomore Laken Barnes who went 7 for 9 in the twinbill. Lincoln County sophomore Whitney Horton provided a big power boost with homers in both games. She was 4 for 8 with two homers and seven RBI. Duwana Poore was 5 for 7 with a homer and six RBI.
