White County Overcomes Hot Wildcat Start in Region Showdown
by Mike McGee [Photos]
Senior Adam Barnett nails one of his three 3-pointers during Tuesday night's game.

The Tullahoma Wildcats played about as well as they could possibly play early in Tuesday night’s Region 4-AAA quarter-final game against White County, and the result was a 20-6 lead after the first quarter at the THS gym.
But, White County (26-8), an extremely quick outfit populated by deadly shooters, eventually chipped away at the margin, finally taking the lead for the first time with 3:54 left in the third quarter. They never looked back on the way to a 63-51 win that ended the Wildcats’ season.
The Wildcats came out shooting the ball well, and they handled White County’s half-court press so well that they ran the Warriors out of it and into a man-to-man with 2:38 left in the first quarter and the Cats leading 14-4. Two three-pointers from Adam Barnett and an old-fashioned three-point play by Dominique Williams helped Tullahoma to a 20-6 lead going to the second period.
