The Tullahoma Wildcats

The Tullahoma Wildcat wrestling squad had a record-breaking day at the Region 5 meet at Warren County High School Saturday with a 11 wrestlers qualifying for this week's state tournament in Chattanooga. The Cats walked off with seven firsts, a second and three thirds to qualify for the state meet in 11 of 14 possible weight classes.

Region Champions

These seven Tullahoma Wildcat wrestlers won region championships in their weight classes Saturday at Warren County High School. Kneeling from left are, Will Norris (112 pounds), Wesley Foutch, (103) and Trevor Schmidt (135). Back row, Ziad Aboulmouna (119), Rene Karteron (125), Cody Quick (189) and Taylor Roper (heavyweight). Karteron was named the meet's outstanding wrestler among lighter weights, and Quick won the award in the upper weights. Aboulmouna's finals match was named the meet's oustanding match.
