Four Wildcats Capture Region Wrestling Championships

Four Tullahoma Wildcat wrestlers won region championships over the weekend in Murfreesboro, leading a nine-strong contingent of Wildcats who qualified for next weekend's state tournament in Chattanooga.

Wesley Foutch brought home the gold in the 103-pound division in the Region 5 meet at Blackman, Will Norris won the championship at 112 pounds, Ziad Aboulmouna won the 130-pound division, and Cody Quick captured gold at 215.

In addition to those class winners, the Wildcats had five more wrestlers qualify for the state meet by finishing in the top-three in their regional weight class. They are:

Trevor Schmit (2nd, 140 pounds)
Brett Gregory (2nd, 171 pounds)
Sonny Knight (3rd, 135 pounds)
Dillon Crouch (3rd, 152 pounds)
Taylor Roper (3rd, 285 pounds)

The Wildcats finished second in team scoring to the host squad, Blackman. Team scores were:
